Maurice Stanley ""Lee Leeson, Sr.

Maurice Stanley “Lee” Leeson, Sr. of Crosby was born March 27, 1923 in Theresa, NY and passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. At a young age he lived with his parents John and Lila Leeson and his brother Lyle on his grandfather’s dairy farm. His father took a position with the A & P Tea Company and moved his family to New Jersey where his sister Ruth was born. There he received his formal education. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps in Guadalcanal, Bougainville and Munda from August 1942 to November 1945. He held his first sales job at age 14 and continued in sales management his entire life, retiring in 1992 from ISSI of Houston as General Sales Manager. In business all who worked with him admired and respected him. He possessed a special talent in story telling and had a funny story for friends or strangers whatever the occasion. He was also a skilled mechanic, carpenter and problem solver and an inspiration and role model to all who knew him.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor Greilich Leeson; sons, Maurice Leeson Jr. and wife Diana, Craig Leeson Sr. and wife Marlina, and Keith Leeson and wife Cynthia; grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Tracy, Jeremiah, Heather Coulon and husband Stephen, Craig Jr., Andrew, Terri and Renee; great grandchildren, Hannah and Tyler; and sister, Ruth Conroy and her family.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
