Pete was a 1981 Graduate of Barbers Hill High School. He then attended Sam Houston State University where he was a starter and captain for his entire four year tenure on the football team. Setting various records, some still unbroken. All the while never missing out on a jackpot roping or rodeo on a free weekend. Upon graduation, he received a degree in Agriculture Education. After a short stint of working on a ranch in Schulenburg, TX he made his home in Hankamer, TX. He worked at a steel mill for several years, where he made many lifetime friends. Then eventually moved on to Bayer Corporation where he worked for 18 years as a Process Technician. Pete loved to hunt and fish, he was a man of the outdoors. Rodeo, roping, was his true passion, passing along all of the knowledge and skills he could to any open ears. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. Never would judge a book by its cover. He loved good camaraderie over a cold one around a nice fire. Pete loved his family and he loved his best friend and wife, Jennie, and kids more than anything in the world that was undeniable. Pete was a one of a kind individual and will be deeply missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him. From Jennie, Rance, and Afton we thank everybody from the bottom of our hearts for being so supportive and for all the prayers through this trying time in our lives.
