

Michael N. Makris, 88, of Highlands, TX was born August 17, 1923 in Bayonne, NJ and passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at his home. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and was a U. S. Navy WWII veteran. He was a Mason for over 60 years and was a member of the Sampson Masonic Lodge #231, Park Place Masonic Lodge #1172 and the Arabia Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Angelina Harcicolis Makris and is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Lidia Makris and Alex and Jeane Makris; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Anthony Psilos; brothers, brothers, Anthony Makris and Gene Makris; sister, Stella Aliferas; grandchildren, Deacon, McKenna, Addison, and Hayden Makris, Christopher Psilos and wife Nicole, and Capt. Matthew Psilos, U. S. Army and wife, Brooke; and four great grandchildren.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Masonic graveside services with military honors will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
