

Miki L. Fitzhenry, 49, of Old River, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in a local hospital. He was born February 27, 1959 in Houston, graduated from Northshore High School in 1977 and lived in Old River for the last 28 years.
Miki was an accomplished heavy equipment operator, having been certified to work with most any type of equipment. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. Cooking and watching baseball and football took up most of his leisure time.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A. A. and Bessie Fitzhenry and Ora Hayes.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Fitzhenry of Old River; parents, Calvin and Dorothy Fitzhenry of Old River; sister, Kathie Ulmer and her husband Mike of Old River; brother, Keith Fitzhenry of Mont Belvieu; nieces and nephews, Lycia ""Lisa"" Schreckhise and her husband Brad, Monica Campbell and her husband Daniel, Holly Fitzhenry and Aubrey Fitzhenry; great-nieces and great-nephews, Daniel and Emily Schreckhise and Destini Campbell and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2009 at the Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Jake Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Aubrey Fitzhenry, Daniel Campbell, Troy Hall, Mike Ulmer, Tim Obier, Jeff Davis and John Haney.
