

He was born March 3, 1946 in Highlands to his late parents, E. E. and Pearl Staner, had lived in Anahuac for the last 11 years, formerly lived in Dayton and had lived most of his life in Baytown.
Mr. Staner was a retired inspector from Exxon after 30 years of service and enjoyed fishing, spending time at his deer lease and cooking for his family.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, E. E. and Pearl Staner and Sue Staner; sisters, Nita and Tanya and a granddaughter Ashton Leigh Staner.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy Staner of Anahuac; daughter and her partner, Deanna and Jamie Hewett-Staner of Baytown; sons, Rett and his wife Nicki Staner of Hankamer and Heath and his wife Juley Staner of Anahuac; grandsons, Patric and his wife Liz Staner, Dylan Reeser, Travis and his wife Shelby Colvin, Trevor Colvin and Noah Hewett-Staner; granddaughters, Lynsey and Leslie Staner, Megan Majors and Jessey, Josey and Jaysey Staner; great-grandchildren, Layne and Liam Staner and Caden Colvin; sisters, Melanie and her husband John Jackson of Baytown and Linda and her husband Eddie Tucker of Mont Belvieu and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home.
