Mindy was born on May 17, 1962, in Lufkin, Texas to Felix Ray Gipson, Sr. and Marion Louise (Reese) Gipson. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and later pursued a career as a Medical Assistant.
She had a gypsy soul and a warrior spirit. Her patience and selflessness were infused in everything she did, whether it was carting kids around town blaring Stevie Nicks or staying up late baking fudge for family holidays. Mindy had an endless love for plants, dogs, and rock and roll. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mindy was preceded in death by her father, Felix Ray Gipson, Sr., grandparents, Freelum and Ethel Young, her sister-in-law, Cynthia Gipson, and James Byerly.
She is survived by her husband, Bonito (Ben) Ramirez; mother, Marion Gipson; three daughters, Virginia Fanestiel (Vernon Davis), Amanda Iverson (Troy), Taylor Lindsay; sister, Rhonda Gray (Tommy); brothers, Felix Gipson, Jr., Donald Gipson (Jennifer); and six grandchildren, Victoria Davis, Vernon Davis II, Victor Davis II, Sean Iverson, Evan Iverson, and Arya Iverson.
Visitation will be Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11am with service to follow at 12pm at Earthman Funeral Home, located at 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.
Graveside service to follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521, with Donald Gipson, Vernon Davis II, Victor Davis II, Ed Rossino, Jr., Danny Ramirez, and Rudy Ramirez serving as pallbearers.
Reception to follow at USW Union Hall located at 311 N Highway 146, Baytown, TX 77520.
