

Miyoko Galvan, 82, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 in Baytown. She was born September 25, 1933 in Misato-son – Okinawa, was a 47 year resident of Baytown, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and formerly a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Cavazos Galvan and daughter Ruby Ann Galvan. Survivors include her children, Sonoko Haynes and her husband Christopher, Miwako Galvan, Juan Galvan and his wife Delores, Isabel Sims and her husband Jasper, and Roy Hector Galvan; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; special friends, Jakie and Suzette Sims; best friend, Patricia Williams and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, 3015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Navarre Funeral Home. A Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Edmund Eduarte officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, Juan Galvan, Brandon Galvan, Roy Galvan, Christopher Sanchez, Isaiah Sanchez, Adrian Hernandez, Jasper Sims, and William Earl Sims.
