

Myrtle Ann Nicholson, age 84 of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026. Myrtle was born on March 17, 1942, in Houston, Texas to the late Stanford Pierce Mims and Maryanna Mims (Drumm).
Myrtle was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1960 and attended Sam Houston University where she obtained her Associate Degree. She went on to make her career as Senior Secretary/Executive at ExxonMobil in 1977 until she retired in 2007.
In 1961, she married the love of her life, a handsome young man by the name of Bobbie Joe Nicholson, where they spent many years building a beautiful life together while raising three daughters.
Myrtle pursued many interests. Some of which included serving God, gardening, and volunteering at Curt’s Kitchen at Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church. She also found that her greatest joy came from reading the Bible, spending precious time with her family, friends, and pets. She also found pleasure in the simple things in life, like sitting on the back porch listening to the birds and helping those in need.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Bobbie.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children, Melissa Fippinger and husband Dale; Staci Guillotte and husband Kenneth; and Kari DuPont; all from Baytown, Texas; six grandchildren, Steven Fippinger, Lauren Shanks and husband Nick, Gidgett Guillotte, Chelsea Little and husband Kyle, Ty Guillotte and wife Aylin, and Mya DuPont; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister Shirley Williams and husband Wilburn; and her many nieces and nephews, along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
A Graveside Service will be held at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 at 12:30 PM.
She brought light, laughter, and happiness wherever she went. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to also give special thanks to Reliant at Home Hospice Care for caring for our mom; especially Gloria and Kay who took excellent care of not only her but also of her family.
