Nita, you were always special to me and all the rest of us 1st cousins. There were a lot of us. You had such a sweet spirit and we were all drawn to you; you loved to laugh. We all grew up, got married and moved away from each other and didn't get to spend as much time together as we would have liked, but those bonds were always strong. I love you honey, I will miss you more than you know. I know your arrival in Heaven is a celebration to all your family who have gone before you. It won't be that long before many more of us will be seeing you again. Until then, rest in peace my sweet angel.

Aunt Nita, from the time I was old enough to remember you, I have always loved you. You were my favorite playmate. I remember all of the times you watched after me, Karen and John. You loved making us take naps and then switching us when we didn't. You were the best aunt I could have hoped for. I remember the day I told you that Mom had passed. You held out your arms to me and said "Come here. I'll be your momma now". You were always so genuine, sincere, compassionate, loving and kind. I have a huge hole in my heart right now but I know you are in heaven rejoicing. I love you so much.
