Nora E. Shambley

Nora E. Shambley, 89, of Baytown, TX, loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend, was born January 24, 1920 in Linden and passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 in a Baytown healthcare facility. She was a member of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Handy and Ola Whitfield; husband, George W. Shambley; and daughter, Jerry Lynn Shambley. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Spell and Fritzie Spencer, both of Baytown; sister, Eva Whitfield of Baytown; grandchildren and their spouses, Brent and Angie Stanley and David Stanley, all of Baytown and Christie and Tony Garza and Jessie and Trish Burrell, all of Dayton; and great grandchildren, Konnor, Kayla, Kaleb, Chasidy, River, Brooke, Laney, Layla and Hunter.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Cemetery in Jefferson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Stanley, David Stanley, Jessie Burrell, Tony Garza and Kaleb LaFour.
