

Norman Grady Stutts, 78, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was born on July 28, 1937 in Houston, Texas. Norman was a longtime resident of Highlands, Texas. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1955.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Grady Stutts and Jewel Florence Stutts, sister Linda Fay Stutts Mitchell, brothers-in-law Arthur Eugene Mitchell and Oscar Gene Shaddox, and daughter Robin Lisa Stutts Norman.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Molly Nell Stutts, daughter Molly Jo Stutts Wright, son-in-law and daughter-in-law Gary Norman and Nan Norman, Grandchildren Robert and Jennifer Norman and Katy Wright, brother-in-law and sister-in-law T. B. Alexander and Suzie Alexander, sister-in-law Iris Shaddox, niece Linda Mitchell Hackleman, and nephews Troy Alexander, Terry Alexander and Robert Shaddox.
Norman was very involved in the Masonic Lodge as a Past Master of Sampson Lodge No. 231 and a member of Crosby Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, both in Highlands, Texas. He was also an active member of Cedar Bayou Lodge No. 321 in Baytown, Texas. He had a passion for woodworking where he gave lessons on the types and uses of various woods and was known for the custom wooden Christmas tree decorations he gave each year to family and friends. Norman also enjoyed competition shooting, coaching his wife Molly to her many shooting championships, and raising and racing homing pigeons. He was a member of First Baptist Church - Highlands where he was known for providing assistance to the members of his Sunday school department. He also enjoyed attending services at Southeast Cowboy Church in Baytown, Texas. Norman was best known for his quick wit and how he immersed himself completely in whatever task was at hand. He will be missed by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, located at 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow the visitation and will be officiated by Tim Edwards. Pall bearers will be Gary Norman, Governor Leon Crawford, Frank Drebert, Paul Hinton, T. B. Alexander, and Bo Rayburn. Internment, officiated by Pastor Brent Barnett, will follow at 2:30 PM at the McAdams Cemetery located at 1251 FM 1696, Huntsville, Texas.
