Olga Irma Garza 85, of Baytown passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her youngest daughter’s residence in Baytown.

She is survived by her daughters Maria Garza Hernandez, Leticia Garza Delgado and husband Servando, Laura Garza Wamble and husband Floyd, Grandchildren: Ruben Hernandez and wife Nile, Rachael Lundquist and husband Cliff, Dustin Delgado, Kelsey Delgado Trujillo and husband Salvador, Jonathan Delgado and wife Tonya, Ariel Garza Hodges and husband Justin, Zachary Wamble. Great-Grandchildren: Amanda, Morgan, Landyn and Garrett Hernandez. Natalie and Troy Lundquist, Madlyn, Ava, Sebastian Delgado; Layla, Christian, Ariya Trujillo, Owen Lee Hodges. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Olga was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Ruben L. Garza; parents, Romulo & Francisca Longoria, Brothers: Eugene, Raul, Romulo, Arnoldo, David, Maximo, Salomon, Elazar, Elias, Ruben, Joel Longoria; Sisters: Guadalupe Felicitas Longoria Choy, Raquel H Rodriguez, Ana Maria Hollingsworth; as well as her longtime cattleman friend Garvin Tallent.

Olga graduated from P.S.J.A High School Pharr Texas in 1955. Olga was employed with the United State Postal Service from Jan 1971 till Nov 2001 when she had to take a medical retirement. She work as a custodian for several years then work her way up to a supervisor role in the tool department. Olga was very active in her community with the woman auxiliary with the Baytown Volunteer Fire Department, Baytown 4H and Sterling FFA and was a lifetime member of the Baytown Youth & Fair Association. Olga spent many hours volunteering at Our Lady of Guadalupe where she attended church for many years.

The family would like to recognize the following caregivers; Ruby Lopez, Maria Canizales and Vitas Healthcare and nurse Ramona Wagner for taking care of our mother.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Navarre Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers to include Ruben Hernandez, Landyn Hernandez, Garrett Hernandez, Dustin Delgado, Johnathan Delgado, and Zachary Wamble. Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Lundquist, Christian Trujillo, Sabastian Delgado, and Owen Lee Hodges.

To my cousins...
Maria, Letty and Laura, So sorry to hear that your mother is no longer here. But happy to know that she is in a better place!And with the love of her life! There was a BIG reunion in heaven as she joined many of our loved ones. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Each of you were so devoted to taking care of your sweet momma and for such a long time! Peace be with each of you. Love you all😘😘😘

We were left with so many memories! Your momma’s voice!
It was special. She was so special.
Your daddy always giving her a hard time. But she was good at giving it right back to him!! She was such a hard worker at work and alongside your daddy.
We are blessed with thousands of memories from our parents.
