Ollie Mae "Polly" Gunlock

Ollie Mae “Polly” Gunlock, 93, of Baytown, TX, passed away on February 2, 2013. She was born December 15, 1919 in Seadrift, TX to James Wilson Gurley and Sudie Jane Sellers. In 1969, Polly then relocated to Baytown, TX with her husband of 67 years, L.G. Gunlock. She worked at the Armory in San Antonio during World War II and also worked at the Baytown Sun for about 15 years. Polly loved to volunteer at her church Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church. She was an active mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Polly’s favorite hobbies were traveling, gardening and painting.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, L.G. Gunlock.

She is survived by her daughters, Dorothy June Severson and husband John, and Mary Sue Donoho; sons, Larry Gene Gunlock and Stephen Dale Gunlock; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Vincent Gurley; and sister-in-law, Ruth M. Gurley.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.
