

She was born May 31, 1927 in Borger, Texas to her late parents, Charlie Hart and Genie Plumlee Hart, was a longtime resident of Baytown and a faithful member of Pruett and Lobit Church of Christ.
Mrs. Witt was a dedicated Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and special friend who always displayed her loving care and special humor until her last moment. Her favorite hobbies included photography, scrapbooking, collecting and making porcelain dolls and most of all, taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Lacy Wayne Witt, Marla Sue Burt and Clifton Ray Witt; brothers, Marlin Hart and Marvin Hart and a grandchild, Susan Reigh Burt.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jerry R. Witt of Baytown; daughters, Linda Cheshier and her husband Don of McKinney and Diana Novosad and her husband Michael of Crosby; grandchildren, Donelle Chandler and her husband Greg of Carrollton, Jennifer Glover and her husband Rusty of Frisco, Patricia Franta and her husband Bryan of Crosby and Andrea Danielson and her husband Michael of Garland; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Alicia Franta, Garrett and Jara Chandler, Makenzi and Delaney Glover, Caleb and Lana Danielson; sisters, Rue Ell Camp and her husband Clark of Amarillo and La Rue Jones and her husband Wade of Big Lake and numerous nieces, nephews, loving friends and church family who affectionately referred to her as Aunt Ophelia or Grandma.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Mr. Jesse Flowers officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons-in-law.
