

Paul Piceynski, 65, passed away on January 3, 2011 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Paul was born in La Porte, Texas on June 12, 1945. He graduated from LaPorte High School in 1964 after which he joined the United States Marine Corp, serving four years during the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge as Corporal. He then attended San Bernardino College in San Bernardino, California where he received his associates degree and returned home to Texas.
He was an instrument expeditor for Brown and Root for 16 years in the petro-chemical industry construction then worked with Intermat in Houston, TX, in warehouse inventory management for 10 years. After retirement he worked with Jimco Delivery in Highlands, TX.
Paul was very active with the Highlands United Methodist Church where he had served in the past as Chairman of the Administrative Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and sang as tenor in the church choir and praise team. He also served on and was active with the Walk to Emmaus Community.
Paul is preceded in death by his father and mother, Alex and Mary Pearl Piceynski of LaPorte, TX and brother, Herman Piceynski of Victoria, TX.
He was a loving and devoted husband of 45 years to Patsy Piceynski, a devoted father to Terri Davis and husband Chad, and a proud grandfather to Brett Underwood and Andrew Davis.
He is also survived by his brother, William S. Piceynski, wife, JoAnn, his sister, Theresa Douglas and many nieces and nephews.
There will be memorial service held at Highlands United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 8th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. presided by Rev. Nathan Gossett and Rev. Larry Smith.
