

Pauline Rhodes Stringer passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on August 12, 1917 in Votow, Texas to George and Mintora Rhodes, Pauline was a homemaker and worked as a cashier at Harold Scarborough's drugs store for 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Baytown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Stringer; her 2 sisters, Stella Kervin and Corine Mills; her brother, Oscar and his wife, Doris Stringer Rhodes; her brothers, Jessie Rhodes and Clarence Rhodes.
She is survived by her daughter, and husband, Linda and Trey Barsalou of Georgetown, Texas. She is also survived by three grandchildren and their wives and husband, Jody Barsalou and wife, Anita of Bulverde, Texas, Julie Carroll and husband, David of Azle, Texas and Blake Barsalou and his wife, Rhonda of Kingwood, Texas. In addition, she is also survived by four great grandchildren, Brianna, Joseph, Baylee and Zachary Barsalou; nieces, Maxine Allen and Delores Underwood, special friends, Shirley Jenkins and the Jenkins family, Lillie Walker, Harold Lynn Scarborough, Doris Whitehead and many more good friends. Polly will be especially missed by her caregiver, Lou Ana Collins, her husband, James and the entire Collins family.
Pallbearers are Ralph Jenkins, Harold Lynn Scarborough, David Carroll, Jody Barsalou, Blake Barsalou and Gary Lockhart.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holly Grove Cemetery in the Holly Grove Community with Rev. Bill Ingram officiating.
