Pedro "Gallo" Gilberto Yepez Jr.

October 26, 1982February 5, 2020

Pedro “Gallo” Gilberto Yepez Jr., 37, of Baytown, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Gallo was born on October 26, 1982 to Pedro Gilberto Yepez Sr. and Maria Del Carmen (Hernandez) Yepez in Houston, Texas.

Gallo was a loving son, father, uncle and a loyal friend to many. He loved every minute of being a father. When spending time together some of their favorite things to do were going to the movies, buying donuts first thing in the morning and having pizza parties. The memories they made will forever be cherished. At the age of just 15 he found his passion for cutting hair and began practicing on his brothers and close friends. He has been a barber for 20 plus years and was well-known while employed at Texas Edge Barber Shop.

Gallo was the kind of person that whenever you were around him, you wanted more. He was such a unique person, with so much character, that no one can replace. He was good at “punking” his family and friends especially his sister, nieces and nephews. Gallo enjoyed working on cars with his father and brothers, and was a die-hard Houston Texans fan. He spent his mornings having breakfast with his mother and enjoyed watching novelas. He loved giving back to his community and active member at The Life Church in Baytown and former member of Acts Community Church.

Gallo is preceded in death by his Grandparents and Uncle. will forever be loved by those of us that he left behind. He is survived by his parents, Pedro and Carmen Yepez; his son, Petey “Goonies” Yepez III; step-son, Hayden; Hilary Hewitt, Brothers: Robert (Adriana) Yepez, Luis (Anna) Yepez, Edgar (Aime) Yepez; Sister, Margie Yepez (Jose Garcia) ; Nephews: Christopher, Luis Jr., Jacob, Nathan, Xavier, Aaron, Robby, Joel, Isaac, and Pepito; Nieces: Marissa, Jazmine, Nikki, Abigail, Brielle; God-Daughter, Camila Duran and numerous Uncles, Aunts, cousins and friends. He will forever be loved by those of us that he left behind.

Words cannot describe the hurt I feel for losing a family member whom was a very important in our lives. Gallo was my son in law a few years ago and is the father to my grandson Petey. Petey adored his father and the two were two of a kind both kind hearted and full of love for everyone. Petey was always looked up at school as the cool kid with the neatest haircuts and his Jordan tennis shoes! I remember Gallo being so proud of his son and I told Gallo recently after picking him up at the shop how everyone loves Petey and he will always be taken care of by many. He looked at me and said yes he is a nice young man full of heart and everyone loves him. I will remember the happy funny times with Gallo, Hilary and Petey and Hayden. My heart and love will always be there for Petey and knowing he was brought up with God and love in his little heart. My family thanks you for being a part of this wonderful gift you gave to us in Petey and your memory will never be forgotten he will know he was truly loved. I love you and God bless you my son Yolanda
