Peggy Jean Williams Scrivner, 88, of Baytown, passed away August 15, 2019. She was born in Baytown, Texas on August 7, 1931 to Bernard E. Lounsberry and Beulah Pruett Lounsberry. She was married to Richard Danner Scrivner for 16 years and previously married to Paton Otis Williams for 33 years. Peggy Jean Williams Scrivner worked as a Bookkeeper for Lounsberry Pump and Repair. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Garden, Wooster Garden Club, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Daughters of the American Revolution, Julia Lottie Quilting circle, the owner of Rocking Chair Quilt Shop, and a lifetime member of Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church. She had a passion for traveling the world, gardening, quilting, needlepoint, volunteering at Curt’s Kitchen and Methodist Hospital.
She was preceded in death by Parents, Bernard E. Lounsberry and Beulah Pruett Lounsberry; husband Paton Otis Williams; husband, Richard Danner Scrivner; Sisters, Bernadine Lounsberry and Mona Paul Eckols.
She is survived by her daughters; Mona Maria Christensen, LaJeana Lynn Jackson and husband Daniel R. Jackson; grandchildren, Cortney Jean Eason and husband Jason Eason, Jamie Moreno and husband Christian Moreno, and Jordan Olivarez and husband Erik Olivarez; great-grandchildren, Sloan Payton Eason, Saylor Jean Eason, Paton Lynn Moreno, Jackson Moreno, and Henley Olivarez; nephew, Casper Louis “Bucky” Eckols and wife Donna Eckols; and special friends Keith and Victoria Colburn.
Pallbearers that will be assisting in the service are Jason Eason, Erik Olivarez, Christian Moreno, Keith Colburn, Casper Louis “Bucky” Eckols, R.D. Burnside, and Glenn Jennings.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm -7:00 pm for visitation on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Alexander Chapel. Interment will follow in Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery.
