Peggy Sue Warren

Peggy Sue was born in Apple Springs, Texas on July 31,1936 to Sam and Mary Lee Martin. Her family moved to Houston during WWII and settled in the Heights where she graduated from Reagan High School in 1954. While attending Sam Houston State University, she met and married Joe Heard Warren. They settled in Deer Park, TX where they raised three sons.

Peggy owned and operated Kiddie Korral Day Care Centers for over 30 years where she was affectionately known as Miss Peggy to multiple generations of Deer Park children. Peggy had a life-long passion of teaching and caring for children. In the early nineties, she returned to East Texas and enjoyed a long retirement. She relocated to the Houston area in 2020 to be closer to family eventually settling in Baytown until her death in 2026.

Peggy loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and passionately shared His Gospel her entire life. She particularly looked forward to being in the presence of her Lord and the joyous reunion of the saints that awaited her.

Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Warren, Sr., and son, Joe Warren, Jr. She is survived by son Wade Warren (wife Sherrie) of Crosby, son Wesley Warren (wife Chris) of Evans Mills, NY, granddaughter, Amber Greenwalt (husband Jeff) of Bastrop, TX, grandson, Niklas Warren of Fayetteville, AR, grandson, Justin Hansen of Evans Mills, NY and great-grandchildren, Cody, Kaitlyn, Abigail and Aubreigh, step-sister Gary Sue Stone of Lufkin and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Crosby 615 Runneburg Rd, Crosby, TX 77532 at 2:00pm on May 27, 2026.
