

Mr. Price was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, J.V. “Sonny” Price, Louis Price, Leon Price, Jerald Price, Ernestine “Cotton” Price; and his sister, Jimmie Fay Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 54, years, Carol Ann; his sister, Margorie Ruth Mangum and his brother, Dean Price; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jane Price of Spring; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Ann Price of Trinity; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gerald Payne of Old River; son and daughter-in-law, Perry III and Kelli Price of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Andy Jacobs of Baytown; grandchildren, Stephen, Elizabeth, and Kimberly Price of Spring; Teri Ann Price of Kingsland, Dennis Price II of Baytown, Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Marshall Price and his wife Sandy of Chesterfield, Michigan, Abigail Price of Huntsville, Rebekah Price of College Station; Garrett and Whitney Payne of Old River, Price Georgeanne, and Trace Jacobs of Baytown; great grandchildren, Kelly, Kylie, and Kaden of Kingsland; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Price was born in Midway, Texas and later moved to Trinity, Texas where he spent most of his youth. After graduation from trinity High School, he attended Sam Houston State University. He then joined the army and served in Germany during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in December of 1951. Soon after, he met his sweetheart, Carol Ann Richards. They were married February 24, 1953. After living in Liberty for three years, they finally settled in Baytown in 1957. After spending three years as a highway patrolman, Mr. Price became an insurance adjuster and retired as such from Chubb and Son in 1993.
He loved fishing, hunting, going to camp, and working in the garage. Most of all, he loved his family.
The family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Sunday, March 4, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. A family graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity, Texas, on Saturday, March 10, at 11:00 A.M., with the Reverend, and nephew, Charles Traylor presiding.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made in his name to the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church Building Fund or to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Odyssey Hospice organization for their kind attention and loving care during these last few weeks.
