Pete Garcia, Jr., age 66, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 25, 1957, in Homestead, Florida to Pedro and Mary Garcia. He spent his early years traveling with his father and mother while they moved state to state working, until they settled in Baytown, Texas. He was the oldest of 6 children and carried his "big brother" title with pride. He was hard working, loving, charismatic and always looking out for others before himself.
He found his best friend and love of his life in Josefina, and they married on November 15, 2014, in Baytown, Texas. A devoted husband for 8 years. He enjoyed traveling with his best friend and enjoying the outdoors, especially being by the water. He had a passion for fishing, crabbing, hunting and working outside in his yard. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He admired spending time with his children and grandchildren as well. Family meant so much to him. Along being with his wife, children and grandchildren he enjoyed the small moments of barbequing while sitting outside next to his brothers and sister listening to some good ole country and oldie tunes.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Josefina Garcia; his children Anthony Garcia, Alyssa Garcia, stepchildren Amanda Garcia (husband, Juan Carlos), Joseph Gonzales (wife, Samantha); grand-children, Aubrielle Perez, Gael Garcia, Xavier Garcia, Marcus Rull, Miranda Rull, Bailey Gonzales, Noah Gonzales, Uriyah Gonzales, Josiah Gonzales.
