Rachel Loriene Hall Ferguson 1923- 2019 Born in Mount Olive, Mississippi Long-time resident of Baytown, TX
Rachel Loriene Hall Ferguson, 95, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, under hospice care at the Ellery Arbor Memory Care facility in Colleyville, Texas.
She was born in December of 1923 to Parents Lewis and Bertha Hall in Mount Olive, Mississippi. Loriene was the last of the surviving Hall children and was preceeded in death by her sister Mattie Lois Hall Chase and brothers Thomas L. Hall and Louis Hoyt Hall.
Upon completion of high school Loriene began nursing school at Mississippi Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and completed her training as a registered nurse in 1945. After graduation, Loriene moved to Baytown where she spent her nursing career caring for patients in Baytown hospitals as a surgical nurse. Loriene married Robert Ferguson and raised her only son, Ed, in Baytown.
Loriene was a dedicated member for many years of the Order of Eastern Star Cedar Bayou Chapter in Baytown. Upon retiring, Loriene and her husband, Robert, spent many happy years living in East Texas. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Loriene was most recently preceded in death by her son Edward Lee Ferguson.
Survivors include: Grandchildren: Amy Ferguson and husband Dave Kubala of Hurst, Ross Ferguson and wife Rachel of Missouri; Daughter-in-law: Debbie Ferguson of Baytown; Great Grandchildren: James and Luke Kubala of Hurst; Sister-in-law: Maggie Hall of Arkansas; Nephews: Richard Chase of Austin and Jeff Chase of Austin, and Louis Hall and wife Tammy of Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers and other remembrances the family asks that you spend some time with an elderly loved one in your life.
Visitation will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. The funeral service will follow and begin at 11 AM. Following the funeral service, a private burial will be held at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, where Loriene will rest next to her late husband, James Robert Ferguson.

You have my heartfelt sympathy. I so enjoyed visiting with Loriene at Remington. She is reunited with Ed now and I’m sure she is happy about that!
