Rafael Gonzalez

Rafael Gonzalez, 68, of Baytown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 8, 2023. Rafael was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas MX on March 16, 1955, to Guadalupe and Pilar Gonzalez. He was married to Marisela Gonzalez, his dedicated wife of 43 years.

Rafael was a devoted husband and father who lived a life filled with love and always embraced the opportunity to make friends with anyone he met. He had a passion for gardening, listening and dancing to music, watching movies, and making people laugh. He also enjoyed spending weekends attending his grandchildren’s sporting events along with his loving wife.

He is preceded in death by his father Pilar Gonzalez, his mother Guadalupe Gonzalez Garza, and brothers Juan Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, and Ramiro Gonzalez.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marisela Gonzalez; daughter Elizabeth Torres, her husband Sammy Torres Jr. and their children, Chloe & Remy; daughter Lucy Sanchez, her husband Mauricio Sanchez and their children Josiah, Jedediah, Trae & Troy; son Enrique Gonzalez, his wife Fatima Gonzalez and their children Enrique Jr. and Devan; son Ruben Gonzalez and wife Maritza Gonzalez and his son Christian Armani Gonzalez. Siblings José González, Pilar González, Mauricio González, and Guadalupe González Garza.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521 with a graveside service following at 11:30 AM at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Road, Baytown, Texas 77520.
