Ramiro will be remembered with deep respect for the steady, honest way he moved through life—reliable in his commitments, devoted to those he loved, and resilient through life’s changes. He carried himself with quiet thoughtfulness and a compassionate spirit, and his hard work spoke for him. Even in serious moments, his sense of humor had a way of bringing lightness and ease, a gift that stayed with family and friends long after a conversation ended. His loyalty ran deep, and those closest to him knew they could count on him—always.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Alaffa; his parents, Eligia and Domingo Alaffa; his brothers, Amado Alaffa, Domingo Alaffa, and Amaro Alaffa; his sister, Martha Delarosa; his son-in-law, Juan Medina; and grandson, Aaron Medina.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Altagracia Alaffa; his children, Vilma Richarte and husband Felix, Hector Alaffa, Jilma Lopez and husband Cruz, Brenda Medina, Mirtha Morales and husband Juan, Ramiro Alaffa, Jr. and wife Amanda, and Jaime Alaffa and wife Araceli; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Ramiro’s life leaves a lasting imprint—one shaped by devotion, integrity, and care for others. He will be deeply missed and remembered for his sparkly blue eyes and his passion for dancing.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. The funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, August 28, 2026, at Navarre Funeral Home Chapel. Committal will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, Texas.
