Ray started his professional career at US Steel and moved onto Exxon Chemical for 24 years before retiring in 2009.
After having their first son, Brian, Ray & Debbie were in a life-altering accident being hit by a drunk driver that left Debbie dependent for life. After being in a coma for 3 months, and defying all odds, she came to and with Ray being her complete support, they didn’t stop and continued with life and had 2 more children; Carl & Angel.
Anyone who knows Ray knows that Debbie was his whole world. Ray never left Debbie’s side and he spent every day taking care of the love of his life.
Ray is remembered by his sons as the dad that taught them the value of hard work, their love of dirt bikes, cars, and how to be an unconditional husband; by his daughter as the dad that taught her unconditional love, forgiveness, and acceptance which all three kids carried into their adulthood and Ray was able to witness and was so proud of this; by his grandchildren as always livening the mood with jokes and a smile; and by co-workers as Ray Bob, the guy that was always dependable, helpful and your go-to tech guy.
Ray is remembered by everybody as the guy that liked to talk. You knew if Ray was calling it wasn’t going to be a short conversation. He valued old-school heart to hearts. He would listen to anything anyone had to say and give you his opinion. Whether he agreed with you or not, he never made you feel like he didn’t.
Ray Cramer was an all-around great guy to know. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren. Anyone that had a chance to talk with him was lucky.
