

Ray Martin, 82, of Baytown was born October 24, 1929 in Fostoria, TX and passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 in a Tomball hospital. He retired from Exxon and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, and feeding the squirrels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gertrude Martin; wife of 60 years, Mary Elizabeth Martin; and daughter, Shirley Darlene Martin. He is survived by his son, Marvin Martin and daughter, Debbie Wilson, both of Houston; brothers, Charles Alfred Martin of Bon Wier; sister, Daisy Bellicini of Roswell, NM; grandchildren, Mark and Tiffany Wilson, Thomas and Amanda Wilson and Shirley and Joseph Shiflet II; and great grandson, Preston Mark Wilson.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dr. Jay Wash officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Shirley Shiflet, Jeremy Meekins, Joseph Shiflet II, and Robert Meyer.
