Raymond Eugene ""Gene Fayle

Gene Fayle ""NoNo"" was born on May 23, 1934 to Foylette and Nora Lee in Wink, Texas. He moved to Baytown at a young age where he resided the remainder of his life.

Gene was a graduate of Robert E. Lee and attended University of Texas. Gene excelled in football and track. He married his sweetheart Mary Francis (Tammy) Bass after meeting her in the 7th grade on March 12, 1953.

Gene retired from Houston Fuel Oil in 1999 where he was Director of Customer Service. Gene coached Optimist football and Little League for many years.

Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed sharing with his children and grandchildren. When hunting season opened and warm weather set in you knew exactly where Gene was, either in a deer blind or a rod and reel in hand. When Gene could no longer partake in the adventures, he enjoyed getting on his four wheeler and going down to his stock pond to go fishing. He also loved his ducks and geese, especially his pet goose, Gabby. Gene and Tammy also enjoyed raising and showing Tennessee Walkers.

He and Tammy have been faithful members of Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church for many years where Gene served on the Board of Trustees, Staff Parish, and Church Council.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Tammy, three daughters Karen Fayle of Baytown, Cheryl Fayle Ramquist and husband Rad of McKinney, and Kathy Fayle Hanks and husband Ernie of Cove. Gene leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Kayce Prater and husband Jason, Cade Sager, Conrad Ramquist, Alex Johnson Horton, Mia Fayle, and Cooper Fayle and one great grandchild, Kolt Ryan Prater. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Forsblom one sister-in-law, Rose Ann Dacy and one brother-in-law Bob Bass and wife Tinsey along with one special Aunt, Jimmie Lee Hill. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended ""family"" members Judy Richardson, Brenda Jack, Kathryn Horton and Chelsea Touchet also survive.

Gene Fayle will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, his sense of humor, integrity, compassion for others and his giving heart. No matter what Gene was going through, he always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cade Sager, Ernie Hanks, Rad Ramquist, Jason Prater, Criss Dippel, and Dean Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Karen Fayle, Cheryl Fayle Ramquist, Kathy Fayle Hanks, Kayce Prater, Conrad Ramquist, Jimmy Younquist, Ralph Kunz, Joe Liles and Jimmy Johnson.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, April 15th at Navarre Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The celebration of his life will be held at Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 with Rev. Roddy Bland, Brother Danny Biddy, and Rev. Tommy Lyles. Burial will be at Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church Cemetery following the service.

The Fayle family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Greg Terry, Dr. Sarma Challa, Dr. Farouk Barbandi, and the special care given at the Fresenius Dialysis Center. For those desiring, memorials can be made to Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church Youth program.
