Rev. L. S. Marcus

Rev. L. S. Marcus, 80, a 34 year resident of Baytown, TX, was born September 10, 1925 in Anacoco, LA and passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 in San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church International for 57 years and was the pastor at Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Baytown for 22 years. After retirement, he attended the Porter United Pentecostal Church in Porter, TX.

His family will receive friends at the Porter United Pentecostal Church, 24342 Loop 494, Porter, TX 77365 Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Porter United Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Coots, Rev. Wayne Huntley, and Rev. Jerry Green officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marcus O’Connor, Andy McFarlin, Philip Marcus, Gentry O’Connor, Jon Cypert, Donald Cooper, Scott Brown, Barry O’Connor, and Freddy Cienfuegos.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Christine Marcus of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Anne Marcus of Baytown; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Freddy Cienfuegos of Baytown, Teresa McFarlin of Baytown, and Wanda and Barry O’Connor of Atascosita, sister, Ann Dowden of Jacksonville, TN; brother, Frank Marcus of Onalaska; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
