He grew up in Barnsdall Oklahoma and went to school there.
He was a supervisor for Brown and Root in Oklahoma and Louisiana before transferring to Baytown where he worked until retirement.
Rex was a Mason and Shriner where he served as President in 1996. Rex was an avid fisherman. He and his wife Trula bought property in Livingston Texas where they spent many weekends. He and his wife loved to travel. They went on many cruises. They also went gambling many times. After his retirement they spent most of their time at the lake house in Livingston. They tended to their garden and fished every day. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. He watched every game.
Rex is proceeded in death by his parents Ossie and Clara, sister Juanita Battenfield and brother George Dickson. He is also proceeded in death by their infant Randy Dickson.
He is survived by the love of his life for 63 years Trula Mae Rosser Dickson. They have three children.
Rodney Dickson and his wife Tara, Scott Dickson, and Tammy Waters and her husband Robert. They all loved their father very much.
Surviving Grandchildren include Tiffany Bowden and her husband Chris. Robby Dickson and his wife Afton. Randy Dickson and his wife Shayna. Ryan Dickson. Kristi Waters and Kayla Waters.
He is survived by 8 great grandchildren.
They would like to say a special thanks to their granddaughter Kristi Waters for taking such good care of them in the past years.
A private visitation was held by the family.
