Rhinhard Reynold ‘Buster” Treude, 88, passed away, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his home, in Baytown, with his loving family by his side. Buster was born on April 10, 1937, in Louise, Texas, to the late Norbert and Mary Marcella Treude. Buster graduated from Dayton High School, class of 1955. He served in the United States Army in Korea. Buster was an IBEW local 527 electrician. Within the union, he served on the executive board.
Buster’s adventures included hunting, fishing, domino playing and smoking the best brisket in Texas. He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where he energetically volunteered for many parish events. Buster also served as past president of East Harris Co. Serra Club. He treasured serving others and never met a stranger. Buster’s favorite activity was spending time with his family. He loved teaching his grandchildren the art of a good time.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Judy Swick Treude. Buster thought of her as his lighthouse. His two daughters and sons in law, Paula and Paul Boswell and Tricia and Mike Streitmann; as well as his grandchildren, Rachel Streitmann, John Streitmann, Lindsay Jurisich, Blaise Jurisich, Sarah Streitmann, Alex Boswell, Michael Streitmann III, William Boswell, and Hannah Streitmann; his only great-grandson Charlie Jurisich. He leaves behind many nieces; and nephews; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Paul Boswell, Mike Streitmann, Michael Streitmann, John Streitmann, Douglas Hanes, Dennis Haynes, William Boswell, and Blaise Jurisich.
Buster will be remembered by his booming laugh, twinkling blue eyes and great love for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Building Fund.
A visitation for Buster will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, with a rosary beginning at 5pm. A funeral mass will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1907 Carolina Ave, Baytown, TX 77520. A graveside and committal will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.
