

Richard Donnell Marshall, 73, of Highlands, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He was born on Nov. 30, 1938, in Houston, to Richard and Ona Marie Marshall. After graduating from high school, he worked for the highway department until his retirement. He also owned Marshall’s Sporting Goods. In his off time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his three daughters. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV, and recently returned from a trip to Alaska in June, with his daughter Clarissa. He was also very active in his faith, attending the Baptist Church in Baytown and Hemphill, and most recently, the Maranatha Church in Mt. Belvieu, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ona Marie Marshall.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Cardwell and husband Jack, Clarissa Marshall and Jenifer Willis and husband David; grandchildren, Thomas Cardwell and wife Sheree, Terry Cardwell, David Knollhoff, Dustin Stiles and great grandchildren, Connor and Cadence.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home; with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
