Ricky Gandy

Ricky had lived in Baytown for the last 3 years and was a previous longtime resident of Channelview where he graduated from Channelview High School in 1976. He also was a retired Process Operator from Lyondell/Equistar after 25 years of service, an avid hunter and fisherman and was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Rikki Gandy and David Crabtree of Baytown and Dianna Gandy and Justin Dick of Channelview; brother, Joe Gandy and his wife Terry of Channelview; sister, Linda Lorfing and her husband Galyn of Baytown; half-sisters, Louise Smith of Magnolia and Patsy Paul and her husband Dean of Arkansas; grandchildren, Lauren Hollon, Jordan Hollon, Gabriel Velez, Maverick Dick and Kennedi Crabtree and the mother of his children, Teri Gandy of Cleveland.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009 at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Summers officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park in Houston.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Austin Gandy, Bo Gandy, Mark Gandy, Justin Dick, David Crabtree, Rodney Lorfing, Randy Lorfing and Russell Lorfing.
