Robbie Jo Stombaugh

Robbie Jo Stombaugh, 64, of Highlands, TX was born July 16, 1941 in Kilgore and passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006 in a Houston Hospital. She was a 1959 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and a U. S. Navy veteran. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and was a member of the 2nd Family Group. Her favorite hobby was being a grandmother.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Broussard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Mayfield, J. D. Stombaugh, Stephen Manon, Daniel Warrington, Christopher Harrison, and Nick Belt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Thelma Reynolds and is survived by her husband, John Stombaugh of Baytown; sons and daughters-in-law, John Douglas and Kim Stombaugh of Highlands and William “Randy” and Jessica Stombaugh of Baytown; daughters and son-in-law, Thelma Jane and D. J. Manon of Dayton and Kristie Minette Stombaugh of Baytown; sisters and brothers-in-law, Belva Ann and Dick Nelson and Cynthia Lynn and Billy Harrison, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Teresa and Julie Novosad, Stephen Manon, Sarah and Gary Mayfield, J. D. “Bear” and Rebekah Stombaugh, Alison and Daniel Warrington, Christina, Amanda, and Brianna Stombaugh, and Gabriella and Donovan Stombaugh; great grandchildren, Brynne and Delyla Mayfield; other children, Sonya Gladd, Dyann Rutledge, and Veronica Witkowski; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
