Robert H. Seay

Robert H. Seay, 80, of Crosby, TX, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012. He was born in Columbia Caladwell Parish, LA, on Nov. 26, 1931. He served in the US Army and trained with the 82nd Airborne and served in the Korean War. His passion was horses; he trained and bred many race horses. He was a widely respected horseman.

He loved his family and held his children close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Mattie Seay; brothers, Ardell and Sam Seay; sister, Doris Taylor; son, Ken Seay; grandson, Cody Massey and granddaughter, Karianne Castillo.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Seay; daughters, Patsy Eilers; sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Stacey Seay and James and Jodi Seay; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Chip Boxley and Nickie Castillo; stepdaughter and spouse, Mary and Joe Henley; stepson, Bill Shae and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at White’s Cemetery in Highlands.
