Robert Swint

Robert Swint, 75, of Baytown was born July 18, 1942, in Baytown and passed away at his home Tuesday, November 14, 2017, after a five year battle with cancer. He was a 1961 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School where he ran track and was an All-Region member of the choir and then attended Lee College where he also ran track and was president of the Rho Epsilon Beta Fraternity. He was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir for many years. He retired from USI/Quantum with 35 years of service and loved to dance, sing, fish, NASCAR and drag racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Angie Swint; wife, Carolyn Swint; and son, Lance Swint. He is survived by his daughters, Angela Bowers of Mont Belvieu and Melody Swint of Baytown; former sons-in-law, Chris Bowers of Mont Belvieu and Canaan Hobbs of Baytown; older brother, Don Swint of Baytown; younger brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Cheryl Swint of Dickinson; grandchildren, Braden Dando and wife, Kim, Tiffani Dando, John Morgan Bowers, Christopher Bowers, Ashlyn Hobbs, and Canaan Robert Hobbs; great grandchildren, Lexi, Paxton, and Nixon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His family will receive friends Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, November 17, 2017, at Navarre Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Raegan Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Bowers, Canaan Hobbs, John Morgan Bowers, Christopher Bowers, Braden Dando, and Mark Swint.

Our dad was an awesome dad and a devoted family man who will be greatly missed.
