

Roberto Barreda Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 18, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born on July 28, 1934, in Linares, Mexico to Jesus and Manuela Barreda. Mr. Barreda was preceded in death by his parents as well as four brothers and sisters.
Mr. Barreda was a gifted and talented musician who learned to play by ear and loved to entertain family and friends with his voice and music. He was a long time employee of Acme Steel Mill/ Interlake Steel in Riverdale, Illinois and relocated with his family to a warmer climate in Baytown, Texas in 1987. Mr. Barreda was an avid gardener and fan of boxing and baseball.
Mr. Barreda is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Agustina Barreda, daughters Pilar Barreda of Houston, Norma Barreda of Baytown, Laura Fadke of Houston, son Roberto Barreda Jr. of Baytown, grandchildren Kandice Barreda, Nicole Negrete, Michael Barreda and Andrew Barreda, and a large extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff of San Jacinto Methodist Hospital Rehab and Odyssey Hospice, especially Deborah, for their wonderful care and compassion.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 22, 2011, at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
