Ron Niedziejko, 84, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2026. He was born on June 8, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to Joseph and Angeline Niedziejko, and grew up in a small town in northern Indiana. He made his way to Baytown in the mid-1970s, bringing his family to the area where he would live for the rest of his life.
Ron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and went on to build a long and successful career with Bayer, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic until his retirement.
He was married to the love of his life Marjorie Pacer Niedziejko for 34 years until her passing in 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Joseph (1992) and Angeline (2008) Niedziejko, and his grandson, Hunter Niedziejko, in 2007.
He is survived by his son, Martin Niedziejko and wife Michelle; his daughters, Lynette Hudson and husband C.J., and Rhonda Havenar and husband Robert; his grandchildren Bryce, Jordan, Ty, Kathy, and Spenser; his brother, Alan Niedziejko and wife Jackie; his longtime companion, Caroline Jett; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron’s greatest passion was hunting and spending time in the country, from the cornfields of Indiana to the crop fields of Southeast Texas, where he ran a waterfowl hunting club for many years. He was known for his unique sense of practicality and humor, perhaps best exemplified by his DR mower outfitted with a gun rack, likely one of a kind. Whether hunting dove, duck, goose, or sandhill cranes, the birds seemed to find him, and his accuracy and success in the field were rarely matched. He also enjoyed attending the symphony, reflecting his appreciation for both the outdoors and the arts.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital and Harbor Hospice Houston for their compassionate care during his final days.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
