Rosalinda Lopez, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Baytown, Texas. She was born on February 17, 1947, in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she grew up surrounded by family and lifelong friendships.
Rosalinda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ignacio and Brigida Chavez; her husband, Alejandro Lopez; and her siblings Rudy (d. Theresa) Chavez, Raul (d. Trinidad) Chavez, Reyna (d. Daniel) Reyes, Ruby (d. Juan) Torres, Roland (Mary Del) Chavez, Rachel (Jesus) Amesquita and Rosario Chavez.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children Veronica Lopez, Monica Ann Lopez, Alejandro (Laura) Lopez Jr., Esmeralda (Raul) Montalvo, and Rosalinda (Robert) Lopez-Hicks. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Christopher (Ripley) Lopez, Michael (Taylor) Ventura, Lauren (Javier) Martinez, Solana Lopez, and a joyful great-grandmother to Greyson Barnard; siblings Roberto (d. Maria) Chavez, Ramiro (d. Janie) Chavez, Reynaldo (Gracie) Chavez, Rosalva (Juan) Cardenas, Roger (d. Angelita) Chavez; her sister-in-law Guadalupe Moncivais; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She also adored her beloved fur grandbabies, who always held a special place in her heart.
Rosalinda attended Roy Miller High School and was a proud Miller Buc. She carried that pride throughout her life. She had a vibrant personality and loved the simple joys that brought people together—cheering on her Houston Astros, listening to Tejano music, and in recent years discovering a new favorite artist in Bad Bunny.
She also found comfort and joy in her daily routines. Her mornings often began with a cup of coffee while watching her favorite novelas. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her granddog, Benny—whether it was playfully chasing him around with her walker or sneaking him bites of her food when no one was looking.
More than anything, Rosalinda loved her family. She created a home filled with laughter, music, and strong bonds that will continue through the generations she leaves behind. Her warmth, strength, and spirit will be deeply missed, but forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Serving as pallbearers will be her beloved boys: Alejandro Lopez, Jr., Christopher Lopez, Michael Ventura, Robert Hicks, Raul Montalvo, and Javier Avalos, who are honored to carry her with love.
Her family is grateful for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time. Rosalinda’s legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all those she loved so dearly.
A visitation will be held on Monday April 6, 2026 a 5PM at Navarre Funeral Home 2444 Rollingbrook Dr. Baytown, Texas 77521.
