Rose Marie (Falcone) Whiddon, 84, of Beach City was born December 6, 1935 in Houston, Texas and passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020. She was a very caring, giving, loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, Nana, and dear friend to all of her Beach City neighbors. Rose Marie loved to cook for her family, and taught her children how to cook her special recipes. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and shrimping with her husband. Rose Marie was a kind and giving person who donated to many charities. She is preceded in death by her husband Durwood James Whiddon; parents, Irene and Charles Falcone; brother, Anthony Falcone; and sister, Antoinette Mock. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Joe and Connie Whiddon; daughters and sons in law, Marilyn and Kenneth Bartkowiak, and Cindy and Dewey Wright; grandchildren, Steven Whiddon, Carrie Whiddon, Katie and Joshua Baumbach, Jason Bartkowiak, Michael Bartkowiak, Darrell Bartkowiak, Kacie Wright, and Cody Wright; nine great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Falcone and wife Martha; sister Delores Petrich; numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful dog, Daisy. In lieu of usual remembrances, a donation in memory of Rose Marie may be made to any charity of your choice. The family will receive friends for visitation at Navarre Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am.
