Mrs. Ruby Murl Gamble, a resident of Mobile, AL, passed away in her home on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 after an extended illness following a stroke. Mrs. Gamble, a native of Goose Creek, Texas, was born on March 28, 1929. She was a long-time resident of Dothan, Alabama and the surrounding area, where she lived from 1967 to 1996.
Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Mulkey, of Baytown, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Earl B. Gamble; two children, John E. Gamble and Teresa M. Jackson, both of Mobile; and four grandchildren, Blake and Katie Smith and Taylor and Alex Gamble, all of Mobile.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. and will be held at the Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
