Ruth Dooley

Ruth Dooley, a faith-filled woman of God, returned home to her Savior on Monday, December 4, 2006. She enriched many people’s lives during her stay on this earth, even during her long illness, believing for a physical miracle healing until the day of her death, receiving her perfect miracle healing in joining Jesus for eternity. She always sought the Lord on every matter and remained courageously obedient, victorious unto the grave.

Ruth was born on September 18, 1937 in Houston, Texas to the late Robert Knight & Suda Beville Fowler. She made her home in Baytown with her husband, Robert Lloyd Dooley. She is also survived by her adored children & their spouses, Kelly & Jimmy Counts of Ingram, Keith & Julie Dooley of Beach City, Krissy & Victor Alfano of Clear Lake, and Kara & Matt Hartleib of Baytown.

Her surviving siblings and spouses are Robert K., Jr. & Dianne Fowler of Wimberley and Gene & Pat Fowler of Virginia Beach, VA. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Valerie McGregor and brother, Mike Fowler as well as one infant child, Mary Robin Dooley.

Her treasured grandchildren are Hollie, Carly, & Mason Dooley, Nick & Jake Alfano, and Baby Hartleib, whose entrance into this world will be celebrated in early May.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Tommye Dooley of Livingston and Baytown; brother-in-law, Llyn Dooley & family of Fort Worth; sisters-in-law, Andrea, & husband Joe Kirkpatrick & family of Livingston and Margaret, & husband Bill Ehlig & family of Baytown.

Funeral services will be held at Navarre Funeral Home at 2444 Rollingbrook in Baytown on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., with David Smith of Missouri Street Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7. A graveside service will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
