

Sam Waklin Pevoteaux Jr. left this earth to work in God’s garden on August 21, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sam W. Pevoteaux Sr. and Jessie Virginia Pevoteaux and his beloved sister Marianne Brumley.
Sam was born on October 1, 1954 in Baytown, Texas. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 45 years Debbie, his son Sam Waklin Pevoteaux III “Trey” and wife Ashley, daughter Mindela Ann Trousdale and husband James and daughter Melissa Leigh Houston and husband Alex. His grandchildren Ella and James (JW) Trousdale and Ashdyn and Sydni Pevodteaux, and his cherished sister Ginger Holifield .
Sam was a good man, husband, father, papaw, brother and friend. He graduated Robert E. Lee High School in 1973 and attended Lee College. He married his childhood sweetheart Debbie in 1975. He had a long career at JM HuberCorp and went on to KMCO services in Crosby where he later retired.
Sam will be remembered for his quiet sense of humor and love for his family. Sam loved gardening, coin collecting, fishing and especially his grandchildren. His children meant this world to him and he never missed an opportunity to brag on all of their accomplishments.
In remembrance of Sam, donation can be made to his home church Wooster Baptist Church where baptized.
Memorial Service are under the direction of Earthman Funeral home and will be held at Wooster Baptist Church on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00pm
