Sam E. Savage

Sam E. Savage, 87, of Baytown was born August 25, 1921 in Ingleside and passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed watching sports and eating out and he loved his family and God. He was retired from the City of Baytown.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Helen Holt Savage and brother, Frank Savage. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Sonja Grant of Dayton; daughters and sons-in-law, Samilyn Hurley, Sharon and Jay Sherman and Suzette and Gary Delucia, all of Baytown; grandchildren, Crystal, Nancie, Chris, Michelle, Brittney, Tiffany, Angel, Timmy, Daniel and Michael; and great grandchildren, Skylar, Jaelyn, Alexis, Jazmine, Liliana, Alaina, Layla and Trenton.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
