

Sara Galvan Perez, 70 years young, is resting in peace in the presence of our heavenly Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Sara passed on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 6:30 p.m., at San Jacinto Hospital. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Sara was a long time resident of Baytown, Texas. She was born in Port Isabel, Texas on January 4, 1942.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Policarpio and Francisca Galvan, her brothers Policarpio Galvan and Rosalio Galvan both of Baytown Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Johnny D. Perez of Baytown Texas, daughters: Jo Ann Castellanos and her husband Alfonso, Janie Rodriguez and her husband Edward, sons: Johnny A. Perez and his wife Maria, Rafael Perez and his wife Camie, Jerry B. Perez and his wife Denise, Nick Perez and his wife Gracie, David A. Perez and his wife Sherie. Also grandchildren: Roland Castellanos and his wife Laura, Blanca Velazquez and her husband Angel, Sara Perez Stokes and her husband Ryan, Audrey Castellanos, Jerry Allen Perez, Alexandria Perez and her fiancé Miguel Magallon, Eddie Rodriguez, Eric Rodriguez, Elysse Rodriquez, Nick Perez Jr, Amanda Perez, Angelina Perez, Noah Perez, Ryan Perez and Paris Perez. She has five great grandchildren: Alfonso Paul, Roland Christian, Leonardo Luciano, Valentin Mateo, and soon to be born Dante Lucca. Also, her brothers Jeremiah Galvan and his wife Linda, Eliseo Galvan and his wife Lupe, Elias Galvan and his wife Nuree; sisters Ana Manrrique and Sabas Galvan, in addition to numerous special nieces and nephews.
Sara was a former volunteer at San Jacinto Hospital, before her illness of Parkinson. She was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a warm heart and showed love to all who crossed her path. Sara was a member of Word of Life Ministries of Baytown, Texas and First Church of New Beginnings also of Baytown. She loved to attend church twice a week, and also enjoyed praise and worship. Her last moments were spent listening to Christian music, and she was able to grasp air in her lungs to yell out "GLORY" as she always would during praise and worship.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 30, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ramon Galvan, Manual Galvan, Lloyd Galvan, David Galvan, Juan Gamez, Cirillio Martinez, Eddie Rodriquez and Nick Perez, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers: Polo Galvan, Rosalio Galvan III, Jerry Galvan, Jr., Billy Martinez, Roland Castellanos, Jerry Allen Perez and Ryan Stokes.
