Sergio Herrera

Sergio Herrera, 46, a 30 years resident of Baytown, TX was born May 23, 1960 in Cotija, Michocan, Mexico and passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at his home while surrounded by his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and worked for H. B. Zachary as a welder before becoming ill. Sergio enjoyed family gatherings.

A rosary was recited Wednesday night and a funeral mass will be Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Carlos Vega officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sergio Herrera Jr., Leo Fuentes Jr., Jose Herrera, Johnny Fuentes, Mauricio Herrera, and Magdaleno Herrera Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason, Erik, and Christopher Herrera.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Martha Fuentes Herrera, sons, Christopher, Sergio Jr., Erik, and Jason Herrera; parents, Benigno and Maria Herrera; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lourdes and Saulo Isas, Rosa Herrera, Martha and Andres Garibay, Lety Herrera, Maria Herrera, and Gracie Castillo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Benigno and Maria Herrera, Jose Maria and Bertha Herrera, Mauricio and Teresa Herrera, and Martin and Mariana Herrera; mother-in-law, San Juana Fuentes; brothers-in-law, Leo Fuentes Jr. and wife Molly and Johnny Fuentes; sister-in-law, Tina Ramirez and husband James; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
