Sharon Denice Sapp was introduced into this world on February 8, 1956 and she expired on July 3, 2020. Her proudest achievement was her employment as a gardener for the Goose Creek ISD. She was an avid reader and would read whatever she could get her hands on. She loved to make people laugh and could remember every joke she ever learned, but not who she had told them to, much to the chagrin of her husband Darwin Harkey and children. She learned piano at a young age, and would often wake neighbors up in the middle of the night with her renditions of great musicians. She could often be found on her front porch in the swing with a book, and whatever animals she had attracted to her home. She had a passion for animals that is rarely seen. Her collections include tarantulas, rabbits, dogs, cats, ducks and a ton of others her children cannot remember. She passed on that love to her daughters Krissy McDowell and husband Yawncey , Alexia Cavazos and husband Rey. She is preceded in death by her beloved maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Adah Sherman; paternal grandparents, Robert and Beulah Sapp; father Wyatt (Jack) Sapp and various aunts and uncles. Her mother, Jeannine Houghton is still with us, as are her brothers Maurice Smith, Lesley and Robin Houghton, her sister Debbie and Terry Gerza, and youngest sister Jeri-Lynn and Pete Swenson. She left behind her grandchildren, Robert Moore, Taylor Moore and wife Sevanna, and Arya McDowell. She was the great grandmother of one Rafael Picon-Moore.
Sharon leaves us remembering how stubborn she could be and how much laughter meant to her.
