

Stephen Jack Corbett, 71, known to all as Jack, left this life very peacefully on the morning of Thursday, September 3rd, 2015, at his home of the past year, in Baytown, Texas. He was the second of four sons and was born April 20, 1944 to Marion and Nellie Corbett, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The family moved to Houston in 1950, where he met Patsy LeBlanc. The two wed in 1961 and had four children together, two sons and two daughters, Bobby, Teri, Amy and Stephen.
Jack was employed with Humble Oil in 1967, where he worked process in the MEK unit for 32 years, and retired as a chief operator / shift supervisor over the Lubes Control Center, from ExxonMobil in 1999.
He loved to fish and was an avid angler of the lakes, bays and different waterways of Texas. He was also an avid golfer, participating in numerous golf tournaments around the area and even as far as Mexico. He loved to help round up cattle with his friend George Turner and was always piddling around on his land and in his workshop at his home in Anahuac.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Marion & Nellie Corbett, two of his brothers, James ""Jimmy"" Corbett, Richard ""Dicky"" Corbett, his daughter, Amy Corbett and his son, Robert ""Bob"" Corbett; he is survived by his daughter, Teri Corbett, and partner Mark Swint, of Mont Belvieu; son, Stephen Corbett and wife Christi, of San Diego; his grandchildren, Hannah Norris of Mont Belvieu, and Henry and Ella Corbett of San Diego and very special friend, Bonnie Cook, of Channelview. He also leaves behind, a brother David Corbett and wife Sonya of Wichita Falls; sister in law, Veronica Corbett of Connecticut; and numerous nieces and nephews and very special longtime friends Charles Johnson, Wilbert ""Weck"" Weckworth, Richard Williamson and Joe Bevel.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Remington Park Assisted Living Community and Faith Community Hospice for the loving care shown to Jack over the past year. Also a very special thank you is extended to family friend Marnie, and caregiver Tina, for showing such love and compassion for Jack in his last days.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society, in Jack's memory.
