Steven Christopher Perez

Steven Christopher Perez, 40, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Fort Hood, Texas, on February 4, 1986, to Steven Perez and Emily Rios. In 2007, he married the love of his life, a young woman by the name of Sophia Martinez. For the next 19 years, they built a beautiful life together while raising their 3 children. He made his career as a foreman in the oil and gas industry.

Steven pursued many interests, some of which included his love for sports, especially the Houston Texans. He could often be found watching a game, even if it was a replay. He was also a foodie and loved to BBQ for his family. Steven was a jack of all trades and if something was broken, he could usually fix it. He was a hard worker and a wonderful provider for his family. Steven found pleasure in the simple things in life like just staying home and having a few friends and coworkers over to hang out. He was the life of the party and could easily light up a room with his presence and boisterous laugh.

Steven was preceded in death by his grandmother Brigida Rios; his uncle’s Armando Rios, Richard Villarreal, and Robert Pena; his aunt Benita Rios; and his cousins Richard “Tacho” Hinojosa and Jesse Hernandez. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his wife Sophia; his children Selena Perez, Sonya Perez, and Samuel Perez; his mother Emily Sanchez and husband David; his father Steven Perez; his sisters Victoria Perez, Tina Diaz and husband Dario, Alexis Hlavaty and husband TJ and Deborah Sanchez; his brothers David Sanchez and wife Lisa and Adam Sanchez and wife Lisa; his uncles Alberto Perez, Patrick Perez and wife Ida and Oscar Perez, Jr.; his grandmother Virginia Perez; his grandfather Oscar Perez. Sr,; his numerous nieces and nephew and cousins; his in-laws Rene and Patricia Martinez; his fur babies; and his grand fur babies along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
