Sue was born in Baytown, Texas on July 26, 1949 and lived in Baytown for most of her life. Her parents, Joyce Antonini Hix and Vinson William Hix, preceded her in death.
Sue's survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Jean Macmillan of Edinburgh, Scotland; son, Jay Hix Jones, and his wife, Kara, of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Katelyn Harbison, Reeder Hix Jones and Hunter Rose Jones; sister, Gay Lynn Price and her husband, Athol, of Trinity, Texas; brother, Tony Hix, of Highlands, Texas and numerous cherished cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family will greet friends and receive visitors to share memories on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Earthman's Memory Gardens Cemetery. Attendees are asked to gather at the cemetery for the graveside services.
Pallbearers will be Sue's much loved nephews and cousin; Dr. Charles Hix, Corey Hix, Vince Howell, Cody Hix, Braden Howell and Shawn Curry.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to Angels Above Us and New Century Hospice, Raul Lopez and Olivia Simmons, her nurses, and David Abshire, hospice chaplain.
