

Suzanne was born on September 6, 1957, to Henry and Janet Bours. She was raised in Morristown, New Jersey, and graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison, New Jersey. She went on to attend the College of Saint Elizabeth, where she earned her degree in Education. Following her passion for teaching and learning, Suzanne moved to Texas to pursue a Master of Arts degree at the University of North Texas and later became a Reading Specialist.
Suzanne dedicated her career to education, touching the lives of countless students as a teacher and reading specialist. She was known for her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to helping children succeed.
She and her beloved husband, Ralph Cuva, who preceded her in death, made their home in Forney, Texas, where they lived for more than 40 years. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.
Suzanne is survived by her sons, Peter Cuva of Dayton, Texas, and Michael Cuva of Richardson, Texas; her sisters, Barbara Reitz of Hampton, New Jersey, and Pamela Gallagher of Morristown, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Bours.
She also leaves behind her cherished nieces, Jessie and Jamie, and nephews, David, Ryan, Christian, and Andrew.
Nothing brought Suzanne greater joy than spending time with her precious grandchildren, Kensington, Shepherd, and Hadley. She treasured every moment with them and took great pride in watching them grow.
Suzanne will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, and faithful friend. Her warmth, compassion, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever.
